Job summary

Turtle, a leading electrical distributor, is seeking an Outside Sales Associate in Commack, NY. This full-time role offers a salary with uncapped commission and the opportunity to grow with a national customer base. You will build relationships, identify new business, and manage accounts while traveling within the assigned territory.

A high school diploma and sales experience are preferred. Competitive benefits are included, with opportunities for advancement within Turtle and a supportive team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial and/or Commercial experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to visit customers in person.
• Excellent negotiation skills and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Selling, marketing, promoting, and demonstrating products.
• Increasing business by generating sales to new customers and by selling additional products to existing customers.
• Pursuing product applications by utilizing knowledge, internal resources, vendor representatives, and other sources.
• Establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Learning and evaluating customer operations to identify objectives and preferences.
• Processing product quotations in conjunction with inside sales and following the purchasing cycle.
