Job summary

Turtle is actively seeking an Experienced Outside Sales Associate in Commack, NY. This is a salary plus uncapped commission role within electrical distribution. You will manage and grow existing accounts while pursuing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities include selling and promoting products, establishing relationships, and traveling within the territory. A high school diploma and relevant sales experience are preferred. Join a long-standing, family-owned leader in the industry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial and/or Commercial experience preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive decisions with influence.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Industrial, OEM, Automation, Lighting, Power Distribution, Commodities, or Energy sales.

Responsibilities

• Sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products.
• Grow business by selling to new customers and expanding to existing accounts.
• Pursue product applications using personal knowledge, internal resources, vendor reps, and other sources.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Learn and evaluate customer operations to identify objectives and requirements.
• Prepare product quotations with inside sales and provide follow-up through the purchasing cycle.
• Travel within an assigned territory and maintain a valid driver’s license.
