Job summary

Piedmont Plastics is hiring an Outside Sales Representative for the Elkridge branch. The role promotes and sells products primarily in-person within the Baltimore/Washington market.

You will develop new accounts, support existing customers, and travel as needed to cover assigned territories. We offer industry-leading wages (base plus monthly commissions) and a full benefits package including medical, dental, life, generous PTO, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution or graphics-related sales with a track record of exceeding assigned sales goals.
• A personal vehicle in good condition.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to travel almost exclusively with some overnight travel.
• A positive attitude and are a team player!

Responsibilities

• Develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, cold calling and referrals.
• Provide sales support to existing accounts and close daily opportunities.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Communicate daily with sales team/management on the status of orders and customer concerns.
• Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in the plastics industry.
• Follow-up on leads and application opportunities.
• Contribute to the team effort.
