Job summary

BrandSafway Outside Sales Representative - Commercial in Knoxville/Chattanooga is responsible for prospecting bid opportunities and building relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, developers and agencies to win work. You will prepare quotes using field data and Salesforce for tracking, while coordinating with branch and project teams to ensure timely contracting and billing.

Prerequisites include experience in scaffold/work access sales, cost estimating, construction industry

Qualifications

• Experience in scaffold and work access sales, including labor contracts.
• Experience cost estimating scaffold/work access projects.
• Experience with Salesforce in a construction setting.
• Experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of prospecting for bid opportunities in the sales territory.
• Develop relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, developers, mechanical contractors, manufacturing facilities, architects, and government agencies that produce opportunities to bid for and win work.
• Use Salesforce to identify bid opportunities and document efforts to bid and win work; review leads from Construct Connect and log in Salesforce.
• Communicate to customers how our products meet their needs and foresee future needs they may not yet have identified.
• Visit job sites to gather information necessary to prepare price quotes.
• Work with sales and construction managers to assemble equipment & material lists, estimate man hours, identify drug testing and orientation requirements, and determine freight for delivery/return; create price quotes in SafQuote.
• Coordinate with contracts manager to move new contracts through BrandSafway contracting process.
• Work with project controls to ensure billing is rapid and accurate and change orders are captured promptly for billing.
• Be on site at new jobs to provide direction to construction crews.
• Work with the prequalification team to get BrandSafway prequalified with new customers and get on bidder lists.
• Assess bid opportunities for upsell potential across BrandSafway access products (Quikdeck, HAKI, mast climbers, elevators, sidewalk protection, etc.).
• Report activity weekly to regional and branch sales managers.
