Job summary

Associated Truss & Lumber Co in Texas is seeking an Outside Sales Associate with a background in selling lumber and trusses. You will prospect new commercial business, perform field-based cold calls, support existing clients, and coordinate with an Inside Sales Coordinator to prepare quotes and maintain accounts.

The role reports to the Outside Sales Manager/Vice-President and offers vehicle and gas allowances, a mobile phone, competitive benefits, and strong opportunities for upward mobility

Qualifications

• Experience selling lumber and trusses in commercial/multifamily markets.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and closing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Present and sell company products to new and existing customers.
• Prospect and contact potential customers in residential and commercial fields.
• Achieve sales targets by deadlines.
• Handle inquiries and complaints, and set follow-up meetings.
• Coordinate with Inside Sales for quotes and account activity.
• Travel regularly to call on customers and develop relationships.
• Develop long-term customer relationships and ensure delivery timelines.
