Job summary

Big W Sales, part of Fairbank, is seeking an outside sales representative for the Salinas area to grow assigned accounts and win new business across Coastal California. The role blends in-person relationship building with practical product knowledge and coordination with the branch team to ensure customers keep operations running.

You will sell fertilizer and spray handling parts and equipment, identify replacement opportunities, and introduce precision agriculture products while coordinating

Qualifications

• Outside sales experience in agricultural equipment or related field.
• Strong communication and CRM usage implied.
• Ability to build lasting business relationships.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Coastal California territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer relationships and prospect for new business with growers, retailers, cooperatives and commercial operations.
• Plan and make regular in-person visits, identify customer needs, prepare proposals and follow opportunities through to the sale.
• Build relationships with owners, managers, purchasing teams and field personnel; follow through on commitments and service needs.
• Work with inside sales, purchasing and service teams on quotes, availability and order details; update CRM with opportunities and forecasts.
