Job summary

Axis Communications NYC seeks a Field Sales Engineer to support sales growth and collaborate with Regional Sales Managers on pre- and post-sales opportunities. The role includes maintaining the Axis Experience Center and representing Axis at industry events.

Travel up to 75% and the ability to translate complex security and networking solutions for customers are essential. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in pre-sales, a relevant degree, or 10+ years of experience; Axis Certified Professional is

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Information Systems
• Or at least 10 years of related industry experience
• Axis Certified Professional preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of pre- and post-sales support with opportunities requiring FSE involvement in the territory.
• Execute high-level system designs that may include: detailed site surveys, camera placement, field of view calculations, pixels on target, bandwidth and storage calculations, BOM construction, schematic drawings (Visio/CAD), 3rd party product recommendations and integration.
• Work cohesively across multiple departments (internally & externally) to ensure that expectations and performance goals are met in a timely and professional manner.
• Construct and perform technology and/or customer-specific training.
• Support and maintain an Axis Experience Center.
• Attend and represent Axis at industry trade shows and events as needed.
• Act as a backup to other Axis sales engineers as needed.
• Regional and some international travel required. Up to 75% travel may be required.
• Effectively multi-task and prioritize projects, tasks, and travel accordingly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
