Job summary

Tri-Phase Automation is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer to manage and grow a pre-established Northern Illinois territory. You will spend significant time in the field with customers and prospects to identify products and solutions that meet their needs.

You will play a vital role in attracting new customers and expanding spend with existing accounts, with a path to unlimited commission potential in a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is a plus.
• Sales and strong communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in an automation or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The position will be customer-facing, strategizing and determining a solution to win the order.
• Involved in presenting solutions to key individual decision makers.
• Business development involves scheduling appointments, preparing and delivering presentations to the client, with support of our telemarketing and New Business Development Team.
• Maintaining customer relationships and ensuring loyalty through excellent service and meeting client needs.
• Works with other departments to create and implement a strategy for success on every opportunity.
• Analyze technical challenges and determine a solution to implement the developed application.
• Develop working knowledge of Tri-Phase products and provide technical demos.
• Position based out of Elgin, IL with possible work-from-home option and minimal overnight travel; occasional travel for vendor training.
• Some evening or weekend work may be expected to meet deadlines or urgent needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
