Job summary

IMMEC is seeking a Field Safety and Training Assistant to support safety and compliance programs through administrative tasks, data management, training delivery, and field crew oversight. The role involves maintaining records, assisting investigations, and ensuring safety through site inspections.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable with data systems, and knowledgeable in utility distribution safety policies. OSHA certification and experience with training delivery are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years in admin, safety, training or compliance preferred OR 3+ years as utility line worker in overhead/underground transmission or distribution.
• OSHA Construction 10 or 30 Hour.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong data entry and document management skills.
• Experience using databases or tracking systems (Quickbase, ISN, Avetta).
• Experience training and presenting in front of large groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Confidentiality of sensitive information must be maintained.
• Must meet MVR requirements to drive company vehicle.
• Experience in overhead/underground utility distribution or transmission with safety policies knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new hire safety orientation and onboarding, including in-field assessments and training.
• Present safety training programs in classroom and group settings.
• Prepare training materials and coordinate class setup.
• Schedule and track required online training.
• Maintain training records and certifications.
• Ensure training documentation for shop and mobile equipment is uploaded.
• Assist in safety procedures and site safety plans creation.
• Scan, upload, and maintain training records in company systems.
• Track and schedule client-required online training.
• Upload COIs, policies, and client documentation.
• Track JSA completions and equipment inspections daily.
• Maintain electronic and physical safety files.
• Print and assemble foreman binders and training packets.
• Conduct field crew inspections and incident investigations documentation.
• Coordinate hazardous waste labeling and disposal.
• Support safety reporting and compliance tracking across crews.
