Job summary

NexGen is seeking a Site Safety Technician for the Irving, TX location. This role travels to project sites and supports safety programs across NexGen and Gray Construction. You will enforce safety rules, conduct daily safety meetings, and maintain safety documentation.

Ideal candidates have up to five years of related experience, OSHA 30 Hour certification, and solid computer skills. A proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Up to five years of related experience. OSHA 30 Hour card required.
• Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety equipment use as required by OSHA, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
• Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with the safety requirements of NexGen.
• Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained.
• Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion.
• Investigate cause of an incident and complete reports as required.
• Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and trade partners who are in non-compliance with safety requirements.
• Hold safety meetings/jobsite review as part of coordination meetings.
• Responsible for conducting daily safety meetings.
• Responsible for conducting orientation and jobsite specific training.
• Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of NexGen’s safety program on site.
