Job summary

NexGen Contracting, the self-perform arm of Gray, is seeking a Site Safety Manager for our Irving, Texas project. This role leads on-site safety programs, audits, training, and incident investigations to ensure compliance across multi-discipline teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in large-scale construction safety management, OSHA 30, CPR, and strong leadership. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; enjoy a collaborative environment with long-term career growth at Gray/NexGen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of large-scale commercial/industrial project management.
• Minimum 3 years of management-level safety experience.
• Current CPR and OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of safety policies and project controls.

The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in large scale commercial or industrial project management, including at least 3 years of management level safety profession experience. Current certification in CPR and OSHA 30-hour construction safety and industry standards required.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Strong written communication skills, report writing
• Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
• Works hand in hand with site management team focusing on maintaining a safe workplace and
• establishing policies and procedures for other workers.
• Conducts safety meeting, audits, and implement follow up assessments.
• Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
• Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
• Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
• Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
• Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
• Provides technical support to project manager team.
• Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.

The noise level is generally moderate to loud. Overtime may be required.
