Job summary

ThompsonGas is seeking a Safety & Technical Trainer based in Reno, NV, with travel up to 50% to support field operations. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and evaluating training aligned with NFPA, FMCSA, and company standards to drive safety and performance across technicians, drivers, and field leaders.

The position requires 3+ years in safety/training, familiarity with CETP 4.2, and a proactive, field-ready mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in safety, training, or propane operations roles.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 54/58, FMCSA regulations, CETP through 4.2, and propane system fundamentals.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and evaluate structured training programs for field operations.
• Develop SOPs and training materials (slides, handouts, job aids, videos).
• Align content with safety policies and operational procedures.
• Lead pre/post-class briefings and post-training support plans to ensure transfer.
