ThompsonGas in Reno/Sparks, NV is seeking a Safety & Technical Trainer to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for field technicians and drivers. The role focuses on safety outcomes, operational excellence, and on-the-job transfer of knowledge.

You will develop classroom and hands-on training, create SOPs and job aids, and collaborate with Area Safety Managers to ensure compliance with NFPA 54/58 and FMCSA standards. Travel ~50% is required.

Competenze

3+ years in safety, training, or propane operations roles.
Experience with instructional design or technical training preferred.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness to obtain professional certification in adult learning or instructional design.
Ability to work in the field, classroom, or digital settings.

Mansioni

Design, deliver, and evaluate structured training programs aligned to safety outcomes.
Develop SOPs and training materials such as slides, handouts, and videos.
Lead field trainings, role plays, simulations, and on-site training as required.
Measure learning impact with assessments and observation tools.
Collaborate with safety managers and field leaders to align with business goals.
Travel approximately 50% to support field operations.
