Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist 1 to coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine construction projects. You will conduct safety inspections, document abatement of hazards, and write reports in support of JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

The role requires 0–2 years of construction experience, a bachelor’s degree in safety/health or related field (preferred), and the ability to ensure compliance with laws and company policies while coordinating with field

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in safety/health or related field preferred.
Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
0–2 years construction or related experience is required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine construction projects.
Conduct walk-through inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
Conduct safety audits on assigned projects and document abatement of hazards.
Oversee new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
Monitor safety programs of prime contractors and subcontractors.
Participate in project safety meetings and chair the safety committee.
