Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Safety Specialist 2 to coordinate and implement the field safety program across routine construction projects. You will conduct inspections, document abatement of hazards, write reports and perform trend analysis to support the company’s safety strategy.

You'll lead orientation, monitor contractor safety programs, participate in meetings, investigate accidents and guide field teams on corrective measures, with opportunities to train staff and contribute to continuous safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety and health-related field (Preferred).
• 2+ years construction safety experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts walk-through safety inspections to ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Conducts safety audits and documents abatement of hazardous conditions.
• Oversees new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitors prime contractor and subcontractor safety programs.
• Participates in project safety meetings and committees.
• Investigates accidents and recommends root-cause corrective actions.
• Coordinates with injured employees for timely treatment and return-to-work.
• Monitors safety incentive program.
