Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist to coordinate and implement the field safety program across construction projects. You will conduct safety inspections, document abatements, and perform trend analysis to align with company safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years of construction safety experience, knowledge of safety regulations, and effective communication to lead safety initiatives on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety/health-related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years construction safety experience required.
• Knowledge of federal/state/local safety regulations and company safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement field safety programs for routine construction projects.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits to identify hazardous conditions and document abatements.
• Oversee new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitor subcontractor safety programs and participate in project safety meetings.
• Investigate accidents and provide root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
