Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety and health-related field (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction or related experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conduct regular walk-through inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with laws and Company policies.
• Conduct safety audits on assigned projects by identifying, documenting and recommending abatement of hazardous conditions.
• Oversee new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitor the implementation of prime contractor and subcontractors’ safety programs.
• Attend project pre-planning and progress meetings to discuss safety matters.
• Support field leadership in safety program implementations and chair project safety committees.
• Assist in investigation of project-related accidents and determine root causes.
• Coordinate with injured employees and clinics to ensure timely return-to-work.
• Monitor site safety incentive program.
