Job summary

JE Dunn Construction’s Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Safety Specialist to coordinate field safety, conduct site inspections, and lead safety audits across major industrial and data center projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams and compliance with all safety regulations.

The position requires 0-2 years of construction safety experience and a bachelor’s degree in safety or a related field.

Qualifications

Knowledge of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and company safety regulations.
Ability to perform field safety inspections and to identify hazards.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
Conducts site walk-through inspections to ensure compliance with laws and policies.
Performs safety audits and documents abatement recommendations for hazards.
Oversees new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
Monitors prime contractor and subcontractors’ safety programs.
Attends project meetings to discuss safety matters.
Supports leadership with safety program execution and committees.
