Job summary

ESCO Automation is seeking a Safety Manager I in Iowa. The role focuses on day-to-day safety support, training, inspections, audits, and compliance across assigned business units, reporting to the Safety Director.

The position requires managing the safety program, coordinating training, audits, and maintaining OSHA compliance, with potential travel up to 10% and occasional extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health or related field preferred.
• 2-year degree with electrical experience/background and 3+ years of construction experience.
• 1-2 years of electrical experience/background with related construction experience.
• OSHA 30 or OSHA 500 or related background.
• In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manages and implements the ESCO Group safety program throughout the company.
• Schedules and provide necessary safety training for all new employees.
• Coordinates, collaborates, and schedules necessary safety training for all existing employees.
• Shows leadership skills and quality in the role of Safety Manager.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
