Job summary

OSI Group is seeking a detail-oriented EHS Assistant to support the EHS Manager in administering facility safety programs in a manufacturing environment in Iowa. The role involves documentation, monthly safety/ergonomic meetings, and incident investigations with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

The position requires a 2-year college degree in workplace safety or related field, strong English skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Basic English communication skills are required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with documentation in conjunction with safety programs.
• Assist with the monthly safety and ergonomic committee meetings.
• Participate in incident investigations by gathering photos, witness statements and other documents as instructed.
• Assist in facilitation of New Hire Orientation Alchemy training.
• Perform data entry of workplace injuries in the company's 3rd party vendor system.
• File relevant documentation.
• Prepare reports as instructed for tracking monthly training.
• Perform research to streamline existing processes.
• Assess equipment per company standards.
