Job summary

SSAB is seeking a Safety Manager in Iowa to implement and manage safety systems ensuring compliance. The role includes conducting audits, training personnel, and maintaining safety standards within the plant.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s degree and at least two years in safety compliance. Certifications such as OSHA 10 are preferred. The position is full-time with benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of safety compliance experience.
• OSHA 10 certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with safety program investigations and audits.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety management systems and compliance programs.

• Provide safety training and maintain safety records.

Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Understanding of safety compliance and regulations

Industrial hygiene experience

Education
