Job summary

Rachel Contracting is seeking a Field Safety Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental programs across field operations in the Midwest. You will develop, implement, and verify safety policies, audit sites, and coach teams to uphold a culture of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include incident investigation, safety orientations, on-site compliance reviews, and reporting to management. A background in construction HSE and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Construction related HSE programs.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to be a team leader under challenging conditions.
• Willingness to travel overnight and extensively within the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of all aspects of company safety policies and procedures, including incident response and reporting.
• Assist in the administration of Rachel Contracting’s field safety initiatives, including incident investigation, best practice sharing, safety orientations, discipline program, safety day and safety recognition program.
• Conduct regularly scheduled on-site reviews and audits of all project sites and communicate findings with Management Team.
• Provide reports and updates to the Management Team regarding any safety issues, new programs, and regulation changes.
• Ensure that safety technology tools are used and that results are examined, trend data analyzed, and plans developed to reduce future incidents.
• Write and train team members on Site Specific HSE plans.
• Conduct new employee orientation with training, testing, and onboarding.
• Overnight and extended travel within the Midwest will be regularly required
