Job summary

Schnabel is seeking a Field Safety Manager to safeguard our field personnel across the Mid-West with initial projects in Nashville and Kentucky. The role requires extensive travel to project sites and close collaboration with operations and safety leadership to enforce standards and improve safety outcomes.

You will develop Job Hazard Analyses, lead investigations, conduct safety training, and ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA/MSHA) while promoting a culture of safety on site.

Qualifications

• 5 years of field experience in heavy civil construction
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• General knowledge of OSHA standards regarding construction
• Ability to train, influence and motivate team members
• Spanish language skills beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist operation managers with project specific requirements
• Create Job Hazard Analyses for project tasks and review with project team
• Perform job site visits to support field personnel and conduct safety audits
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement safety procedures and policies
• Lead injury and incident investigations and evaluations
• Travel to project sites as required
