Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a Safety Manager to partner with the Division Safety Manager to foster a proactive safety culture across Ohio operations. You will provide technical and compliance guidance to field teams and set direction for a safe work environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety (or related field) and 3–5 years in safety management, with OSHA and MSHA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field preferred plus 3–5 years in safety management.
• OSHA and MSHA training certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Motivate safety culture within assigned region and across all companies.
• Partner with business unit leadership to drive safe behavior and culture.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and advise management on actions.
• Conduct inspections and industrial hygiene audits; report statistics and counsel managers.
• Ensure timely reporting of all safety incidents and assist in investigations and corrective actions.
• Provide trainings for managers and employees and facilitate trainings as needed.
• Interact with OSHA, MSHA, DOT and other agencies during site inspections.
