Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH Company, seeks a Safety Manager to partner with the Division Safety Manager to foster a culture of safety. You will provide technical and compliance expertise to field employees and lead trainings, inspections, and incident investigations for a safe work environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in safety management, a Bachelor’s in Environmental Health & Safety or related field, and OSHA/MSHA certifications; travel to various sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field preferred with 3–5 years of safety management experience.
• Experience in construction materials industry is a plus but not required; OSHA and MSHA certifications preferred.
• Ability to read English and interpret regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Motivate behavior change and create a proactive safety culture across regions and units.
• Partner with leadership to drive safe behaviors and strong safety culture.
• Study and enforce federal, state and local safety regulations; advise management on actions.
• Conduct inspections, report statistics, and counsel managers and employees.
• Report all safety incidents promptly and ensure post-incident investigations and follow-up.
• Perform industrial hygiene audits and contribute to training for managers and employees.
• Provide safety insight to executives and act as a resource on incident prevention.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies (OSHA, MSHA, DOT) during site inspections.
