Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, seeks a Safety Manager to partner with the Division Safety Manager to establish a culture of safety across Ohio operations. You will provide technical and compliance expertise to field employees and guide safe work practices.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Environmental Health & Safety with 3–5 years in safety management, preferably in construction materials. Travel may be required; OSHA/MSHA knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years in safety management; construction materials experience preferred.
• OSHA and MSHA training certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Motivate behavior change and create a proactive safety culture.
• Partner with business unit leadership to drive safe behavior.
• Comply with federal, state and local safety regulations; advise management on actions.
• Enforce safety policies by inspections and reporting statistics.
• Conduct accident investigations and maintain records; drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety trainings for managers and employees; facilitate when needed.
