Job summary

CRH seeks a Division Safety Manager to foster a culture of safety, provide technical and compliance guidance to field crews, and collaborate with safety colleagues to support safety across CRH's business units in Ohio.

You will lead inspections, investigations, training, and regulatory adherence, travel as needed, and report on safety performance while maintaining documentation and staying current with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field preferred; 3–5 years in a safety management role.
• Experience in construction materials industry desired but not required; OSHA/MSHA training preferred.
• Ability to read English language and interpret safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Motivate a proactive safety culture across regions and sites.
• Partner with leadership to drive safe behavior and culture.
• Comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations; monitor legislation.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and incident reporting; manage records.
• Lead investigations and determine corrective actions; ensure follow-up.
• Deliver safety training to managers and employees; coordinate with insurers.
• Collaborate with executives and supervisors as a safety resource.
