Job summary

Consigli Construction 1 is seeking an Assistant Safety Manager to support nationwide safety initiatives across multiple job sites. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with CCC policies and regulatory requirements.

You will conduct site visits, provide training, and lead incident investigations to drive continuous safety improvement while coordinating with superintendents and field crews on high-risk activities.

Qualifications

• Construction safety experience preferred, particularly in concrete, finish and rough carpentry, and masonry.
• OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards knowledge.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to job sites.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience with high-risk construction activities (e.g., concrete forming, scaffolding, trenching, demolition).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company-wide safety policies and develop job-specific safety plans.
• Conduct regular job site visits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Attend internal and external safety trainings as required.
• Participate in JSA (Job Safety Analysis) reviews and Jobsite Gym activities.
• Attend corporate safety meetings and lead preconstruction safety meetings.
• Perform hazard assessments and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; prepare detailed reports and lead root cause analyses.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of PPE and fall protection systems.
• Monitor subcontractors’ safety compliance and coordinate site-wide safety efforts.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure completion of pre-task documentation, including: Fall Protection Plans, Demolition Plans, Silica Exposure Control Plans.
• Maintain safety documentation such as OSHA logs, safety meeting records, and training certifications.
• Coordinate with superintendents to plan safe means and methods for high-risk activities.
• Stay current on local, state, and federal safety regulations and industry best practices.
