Job summary

P1 Service, LLC. is seeking a Safety Manager to support operations across the Kansas City metro, Topeka, Windsor, and Ankeny markets. The role blends hands-on field leadership with program development, coaching, and regulatory compliance to elevate safety culture and performance.

The position requires strong OSHA knowledge, incident investigation experience, and the ability to coach site teams. Travel is frequent to multiple locations, with standard business hours and field duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety or related field preferred
• Minimum five years of progressive safety experience
• Experience supporting mechanical contracting, HVAC service, facility maintenance, or similar environments
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems
• Experience leading incident investigations and corrective actions
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Promote a proactive safety culture across P1 Service branches and operations
• Provide field leadership through site visits, audits, and coaching
• Coach and mentor Branch Safety Champions
• Support safety in hospitals, universities, and commercial facilities
• Lead OSHA, DOT, EPA and local safety compliance efforts
• Maintain safety documentation and assist with incident/illness records
• Lead investigations into injuries, incidents, and near misses with root-cause analysis
• Coordinate with HR, insurers and TPAs on workers' comp and liability claims
• Support return-to-work and modify-duties programs
• Assist with Fleet Safety Program and safe driving initiatives
• Conduct safety orientation, LMS assignments, and training compliance
• Perform field and site inspections and risk assessments
• Prepare monthly safety reports and KPI summaries
• Frequent travel to KS/MO/CO/IA markets
