Job summary

Maxwell Construction is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the company’s safety program across active construction projects in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. The role is field‑focused with regular travel to jobsites and close collaboration with project teams to promote a proactive safety culture.

The position requires strong leadership, OSHA knowledge, and experience in audits, training, and incident investigations, with a focus on reducing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience with GC/CM/design‑build.
• OSHA 30‑Hour Construction certification.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
• Ability to read construction drawings and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company safety program and act as the primary internal resource on construction safety.
• Promote shared responsibility for safety among employees, subcontractors, vendors, and partners.
• Develop annual safety goals and accountability measures; update safety manuals and SOPs.
• Conduct jobsite safety audits and prepare written reports with corrective actions.
• Support preconstruction, mobilization, and project closeout with safety planning.
• Perform incident investigations and OSHA/I OSHA reporting assistance.
