Job summary

Brink Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Safety Professional – Field to lead safety on job sites, deliver training, investigate incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance. This field-based role requires up to 100% travel and a DOT physical/medical card.

The position is non-exempt/hourly with a pay range of $45–$49 per hour, reflecting experience and location. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel across regions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of field safety experience in construction, utilities, or industrial settings.
  • Good knowledge of OSHA standards and DOT regulations.
  • Proven experience in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience delivering safety training programs (First Aid/CPR/AED).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coaching field teams.
  • Ability to work independently in dynamic field environments and manage priorities.
  • Strong safety documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within regions.
  • Safety certifications such as CUSP, CHST, ASP, CSP are preferred or obtainable.
  • OSHA 500 trainer certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field safety observations and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Deliver, schedule, and track safety training including onboarding and refresher sessions.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses; lead reviews and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in developing safety policies based on field insights and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, logs, and training records.
  • Monitor DOT compliance including vehicle inspections and hours-of-service tracking.
  • Collaborate with external safety agencies to implement best practices.
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project planning to embed safety.
