Job summary

Curran Contracting Company seeks a Safety Specialist to lead field safety initiatives, align corporate safety programs with daily field execution, and foster a culture of safety across projects in Illinois and Indiana.

You will coach teams, conduct site inspections, track safety metrics, and support PPE management, training, and incident investigations while traveling to active sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field preferred, plus construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification within 6 months of hire if not already obtained.
• Proven ability to coach teams and enforce safety protocols on active sites.

Responsibilities

• Model Curran’s safety culture and lead field safety practices.
• Inspect sites, document findings, and suggest corrective actions.
• Monitor safety metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage PPE inventories and safety equipment readiness.
• Develop, roll out, and maintain safety programs and trainings.
• Coach employees and subcontractors on safe driving and behaviors.
• Support incident investigations and safety reporting.
