Job summary

Engtal is seeking a Safety Manager for Civil & Utility Construction to support projects across New England with some travel. This field-oriented role focuses on keeping crews operating safely, conducting site inspections, and leading safety planning and training.

The candidate will work closely with project leadership to build a proactive safety culture. The role requires construction safety experience in civil/utility environments, the ability to coach field teams, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Experience in construction safety within civil, utility, electrical, or self-perform construction.
• Strong ability to influence and coach field crews.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and audits.
• Support project-specific safety planning and review JHAs/JSAs.
• Lead training and toolbox talks.
• Investigate incidents and near misses.
• Manage documentation and corrective actions.
• Ensure OSHA and company safety standards compliance.
• Build a strong safety culture with field teams.
