On Target Utility Services is seeking a Safety Specialist to support development, training, and enforcement of safety initiatives in utility construction and maintenance services throughout the Northeast. You will work with the Safety & Workforce Development Manager to monitor and implement safety standards, perform trainings, and coordinate safety programs across business units.

The role requires 4–6 years in a corporate safety environment, relevant certifications, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Requires 4–6 years in corporate safety environment or leadership role
• First Aid/CPR/AED training and certification
• CSP, CIH, or CUSP certifications preferred
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred and DOT medical card preferred

Responsabilités

• Maintain knowledge of safety standards and policies per federal, state, and company guidelines
• Collaborate with Safety & Workforce Development Manager to interpret new standards
• Provide safety trainings and develop/implement safety policies and practices
• Support field safety audits, incident investigations, inspections, and crew visits
• Coordinate safety and training information across units to ensure consistency and prompt resolution
• Travel extensively and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, or holidays
• Maintain safety reporting systems and generate required reports
• Mentor employees to promote a culture of safety and productivity
