Job summary

Wright Tree Service is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee safety programs and regulatory compliance. The role requires leading safety inspections, incident reviews, and on-site training to prevent injuries and ensure project safety.

Responsibilities include conducting safety briefings, coordinating DOT compliance, maintaining records, and guiding crews through safety improvements. The position reports to the Senior Safety Lead/Safety Manager and supports emergency response efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tree trimming/clearing crews or equivalent performance reviews.
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to handle stressful situations while multi-tasking.
• Knowledge of ANSI Z133.1-2017 and ANSI A300 standards; OSHA rules and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Wright Tree Service and OSHA policies and regulations.
• Perform frequent safety inspections of work sites and locations.
• Review and evaluate incident reports and determine corrective actions.
• Provide safety support including job briefings, site safety, DOT compliance, and tailgates.
• Conduct mandatory group safety meetings and discuss accidents and resolutions.
• On-the-job training for crews through observations and briefings.
• Lead stand-downs and tailgate trainings; maintain safety training records.
• Investigate accidents and contribute to claims resolution; communicate hazards.
