Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions seeks a Safety Lead to manage site safety and health across projects, supervise subcontractors, and support construction coordination. You’ll drive safety initiatives, lead weekly meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and client requirements, including JHA reporting and safety onboarding.

The role requires HV/substation construction experience, OSHA 30, and CSP/ASP or equivalent certs, with up to 90% travel. Collaborative, detail‑driven professionals thrive here.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and 2+ years of safety experience in high voltage substation, transmission, and distribution construction environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety related field or equivalent preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification and related safety credentials required or preferred.
• AED/CPR/First Aid training and safety certifications (ASP, CSP, OHST, CHST, CUSP) recommended.
• Strong reading of electrical diagrams and ability to interpret One Line drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead project safety and health initiatives for each project.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor on-site safety performance.
• Conduct safety onboarding training for new crew members and weekly safety meetings.
• Perform daily safety audits and coordinate with Safety Director.
• Ensure reporting of JHA’s, tailboards, and safety documentation.
• Support construction management with safety coordination and compliance.
