Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Safety and Health professional to implement policies and drive compliance across projects in Virginia. You will lead safety initiatives, train personnel, and coordinate with subcontractors to reduce injuries and incidents on site.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Safety and Health with 5+ years in construction safety, CHST or OSHA certifica- tion, and a valid driver’s license. This role demands strong communication and the ability to work nights and weekends when

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety and Health or equivalent.
• 5+ years of safety/health experience in construction preferred.
• CHST certification preferred; IC 300/400 preferred.
• OSHA 30/10 trainer certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Provide safety training and education to personnel.
• Support pre-job safety planning and emergency response planning.
• Lead safety meetings and training programs.
• Conduct safety audits, evaluations, inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist in investigation of injuries and incidents.
• Distribute safety and health communications.
• Update teams on regulatory changes and company requirements.
• Identify staff needing safety training or support.
• Coordinate safety programs with subcontractors and vendors.
• Serve as point of contact for OSHA and other authorities.
