Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to contribute to the Project Safety Program across North America. You will learn by supporting site safety policies, monitoring projects for regulatory compliance, and assisting in coaching and training to ensure safe work environments.

This internship offers hands-on learning, exposure to safety metrics, and potential relocation to project sites, with opportunities to develop critical construction health and safety skills and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or related field.
• Familiarity with construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program including site safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor construction project activities for compliance with government regulations, client and company policies.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and assist in safety program audits, coaching and onsite training.
