Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to learn the skills, programs, regulations and guidelines to keep our people safe on projects across North America. This hands-on internship offers real-world learning in construction management while supporting field teams.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study.
• (Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements)
• Basic computer skills with Word and Excel; strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• As a Safety Intern, you’ll help implement and oversee the Project Safety Program and develop site safety policies and procedures.
• You’ll monitor construction activities for compliance with regulations, state/provincial, client, and company policies.
• You’ll contribute to safety audits, coaching, and regular onsite training.
• Ability to travel and relocate as required for projects.
