Job summary

CEC Companies in Garland, TX is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs on construction sites and foster a strong safety culture. You will conduct field walks, oversee audits, and assist with incident investigations, training crews and mentoring employees toward safe behaviors.

The role requires flexibility for day or night shifts, overtime, and travel up to 75% across project sites. Must stay current with NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI standards and ensure compliance with OSHA 30

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline a plus.
• 1 - 3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Foremen in completing ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with findings and corrective actions.
• Interact with field personnel to address safety observations and provide resolutions.
• Assist with site safety orientations for new employees.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Audit power tools and equipment for safe operation; ensure maintenance.
