Position Overview

Title: Field Safety Coordinator

Reports To: Site Safety Supervisor

Type: Contract/Project Based

Responsibilities

1. Implement and adapt safety and health policies on-site to meet project requirements.
2. Incorporate safety and environmental responsibility into daily activities.
3. Utilize the Nooter Management System (NMS) for compliance and efficiency.
4. Communicate effectively with all project personnel and external representatives.
5. Assist in hazard assessments and develop control procedures for identified risks.
6. Monitor and evaluate jobsite safety daily, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
7. Conduct safety orientations, training, and audits, documenting all activities.
8. Coordinate safety efforts with subcontractors and participate in incident investigations.
9. Manage first aid cases and report activities to the Safety-Risk Manager.
10. Travel as needed to maintain safety standards at various sites.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Must be able to sit, walk, climb, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 pounds. Must pass pulmonary tests for respirator use and work in various environmental conditions, including high/low temperatures and noise levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience in safety roles within construction or related industries.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards (1910, 1926).
• Valid driver’s license, TWIC card, OSHA 30 Construction certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
