Job summary

Commercial Metals LTD is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety programs across our facilities in Hawaii. You will perform routine inspections, assess needs, and coordinate training with site leaders to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

The role requires 5+ years in safety, aBachelor's in safety/construction, OSHA 30, and strong incident analysis skills. Travel to sites may be necessary, with career growth and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a safety management role.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
• Experience in construction industry and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly safety inspections.
• Assess facility needs and determine safety involvement levels.
• Conduct monthly OSHA safety inspections with coordinator and manager.
• Coordinate safety training for orientation and re-training.
• Monitor training completion and address deficiencies.
• Provide safety expertise to Plant/Operations managers and staff.
• Report safety metrics to management including IR rates and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and CMC policies.
• Prepare job-specific safety plans for customers and managers.
• Maintain OSHA and insurance documentation and records.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Develop and execute strategic safety initiatives.
