Job summary

Century Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Safety Professional to oversee EH&S at designated job sites, ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting personnel and assets. You will lead safety programs, conduct training, and coordinate permits and audits across rigging, mechanical, and piping projects.

The role requires OSHA 30 certification, MSHA certification, and the ability to travel as needed. Strong focus on incident prevention, documentation, and teamwork with project managers and field crews.

Qualifications

• 4 years verifiable experience as a Safety Professional.
• Must have OSHA 30 certification.
• Preferred candidate Must have MSHA certification.
• OSHA 510 and 500 a plus.
• Must be able to climb and not be afraid of heights.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage EH&S tasks related to rigging, mechanical and piping installations.
• Implementation of CCI & customer EH&S procedures/protocols.
• Daily toolbox talks.
• Coordinate permits (hot work, JSA's, LOTO, etc) with crew and customer representatives.
• Perform and document daily audits/observations.
• Support project team with EH&S reporting and customer deliverables.
• Coordinate task specific training that may be required with CCI Project Manager, Crew and EH&S Management team.
• Identify, plan and coordinate the EH&S execution of hazardous work that exist within the work area.
• Identify hazardous conditions and provide solutions to project team to implement procedures, tools and/or equipment to execute task safely.
• Reporting of daily crew size and members to ensure all employees are accounted for in the event of incident/evacuation.
• Conducts Health and Safety Training Programs and maintains all records as needed.
• Directs and conducts site facility walk-through inspections, safety audits and documentation reviews relative to OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, DHS regulations and reports findings to Corporate Management.
• Investigates the causes of all accidents and injuries, and completes reports as required. Uses Accidents/near misses, etc. as training to help prevent future occurrences.
• Inventories and maintains appropriate quantities of all necessary safety equipment and PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.
