Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to champion a safety-first culture. You will support the Safety Department through field coaching, education and joint problem-solving to identify hazards and promote safe work practices.

Responsibilities include field visits with technicians, PPE enforcement, safety observations and conducting trainings. Travel is required and OSHA knowledge is essential for improving site safety across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Safety preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of relevant safety experience.
• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA desired.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety practices.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in field visits to observe work, identify hazards, and coach personnel.
• Reinforce PPE requirements and safety expectations.
• Support safe operations across drilling, sampling, testing, excavation and construction.
• Assist in safety observations, inspections, audits, JSAs and AHAs; track corrective actions.
• Support new-hire orientation, toolbox talks, safety meetings and training.
• Develop safety presentations, training materials, reports, and field-tailored communications.
• Provide field-based education on hazards, prevention and employee needs.
• Assist investigations of injuries, incidents and near misses to determine root causes.
• Document findings and communicate lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
• Other duties as assigned.
