Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Systems Engineer to oversee large-scale deployment of industrial automation across the North America fulfillment network. You will coordinate multi-site installations, manage on-site go-lives, and partner with hardware engineering, TPMs, product managers, and operations teams.

Expect extensive field work and relocation to major hubs as needed. You will travel to project sites across North America, manage deployments from planning through go-live, and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and 24/7 production environments.
• Experience with Linux systems administration and development.
• Experience in at least two programming languages (Python/Java/PHP/Ruby/Bash).
• Ability to read CAD models (mechanical/electrical) and work with technical drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work in field-based deployments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and network systems.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple deployments of a technology across sites with on-site coordination.
• Lead installation and acceptance testing to achieve go-live for each project.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, PMs, product managers, and site teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in deployment cycle time, safety, quality, and productivity.
• Develop deployment documents, SOPs, schedules, and dependencies.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical assessments.
• Influence internal and partner teams to meet goals and drive operational excellence.
