Job summary

Rhoda AI is seeking a Field Deployment Lead for the US to manage end-to-end robot deployments from site preparation to commissioning and handover. The role involves on-site execution, remote coordination with ROC, and collaboration with HQ Engineering to plan maintenance and upgrades.

The candidate will travel internationally, supervise contract operators, and develop runbooks, SOPs, and service‑partner relationships to ensure production reliability at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on industrial experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial robotics or industrial automation deployment, commissioning, or field engineering.
• Hands‑on electro‑mechanical troubleshooting skills: multimeter, oscilloscope; working with VFDs, PLCs, sensors, actuators in industrial environments.
• Proven track record executing FAT/SAT and commissioning robotic or automation systems at industrial customer sites.
• Linux command‑line proficiency; able to read Python scripts and shell commands; basic Docker/container operations.
• ROS or ROS2 experience, or equivalent industrial automation background with willingness to learn ROS2 quickly.
• Strong documentation habits: write runbooks, SOPs, and handover documents.
• Available to start in October 2026, or within a few weeks of offer.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own site preparation, robot installation, system integration, and commissioning at new customer sites in logistics and manufacturing.
• Own on-site technical troubleshooting during commissioning and bring-up for the robots and integrated systems (Safety PLCs, Sensors, Conveyors).
• Lead FAT and SAT sign‑off with customer teams; ensure systems meet production readiness before handover.
• Coordinate deployment timelines with Application Engineering, Development Engineering, and remote support; manage site dependencies, permits, EHS, risks.
• Document configurations, integration decisions, and site adaptations for each deployment.
• Design and implement the operational runbook for deployed sites; train contract operators; set quality standards.
• Manage local service partners: define scope/SLA, train on Rhoda hardware, oversee callouts.
• Capture field learnings and feed insights to Engineering and Customer Success teams; improve maintenance and spares.
• Develop maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, and refine BOM/storage processes.
