Job summary

Amazon Robotics RDPI is seeking a Systems Engineer to oversee large-scale deployment of industrial automation across North America stores. You will lead installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of robotic equipment, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing budgets and schedules.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 75%+), strong mechanical/electrical and network skills, and a track record of leading multiple concurrent projects in field deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, warehouse environments.
• 1+ years' experience with technical drawings and CAD models.
• 1+ years' experience with mechanical, electrical, IT networked, or software systems.
• Ability to review data and set troubleshoot priorities on complex systems.
• Ability to travel domestically 75% or more.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide installation of robotics, packaging and sortation technologies at fulfillment centers.
• Develop knowledge of operation of robotic systems and guide installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting on site and remotely.
• Manage technical ambiguity around integration of work cells in fulfillment centers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, TPMs, product managers, and internal customers.
• Travel to project sites and collaborate virtually and in person to align stakeholders on status.
• Manage day-to-day project scheduling and budget management.
• Lead teams of other engineers on projects.
• Travel to live warehouses and construction sites; project scope varies with heavy travel.
