Job summary

Rhoda AI is seeking a Field Deployment Lead (US) to own end-to-end robot deployments from site prep to SAT sign-off, working from our Remote Operations Center (ROC). You’ll travel internationally initially, with on-site work in the US and multi-site supervision as operations mature.

You will build the operational framework, train contract operators, manage service partners, and capture field insights for refinement across engineering and customer success teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial robotics or automation deployment, commissioning, or field engineering.
• Hands-on electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills: multimeter, oscilloscope; working with VFDs, PLCs, sensors, actuators.
• Proven track record executing FAT/SAT and commissioning robotics systems at industrial sites.
• Linux command-line proficiency; comfortable with Python; basic Docker/container operations.
• ROS or ROS2 experience or equivalent industrial automation background with willingness to learn ROS2.
• Strong documentation habits: runbooks, SOPs, handover docs.
• Available to start in October 2026 or soon after.
• Passport valid; willingness to travel internationally; multi-week on-site rotations.
• US driver’s license; ability to travel 70%+ domestically; on-site rotations.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end deployment: site prep, installation, commissioning, SAT sign-off, and transition to steady-state operations.
• Lead on-site technical troubleshooting during commissioning and bring-up for robots and integrated systems (Safety PLCs, sensors, conveyors).
• Coordinate FAT/SAT sign-off with customer teams and ensure production readiness before handover.
• Design and implement operational runbooks, training for contract operators, and escalation procedures.
• Manage local service partners; define scope, SLA, and training on Rhoda hardware.
• Capture field learnings and feed insights to engineering and customer success teams.
• Develop maintenance procedures, PM schedules, and optimize spares and storage.
