Job summary

DataScan is seeking a Field Risk Specialist in the Tampa Bay area. The role involves performing floorplan inventory audits at automotive and other dealerships, verifying VINs, reviewing records, and reconciling discrepancies to help clients manage risk.

The position is field-based, requiring travel 4–5 nights per month, with independent work and strong attention to detail. A high school diploma is required, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to work in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel overnight 4–5 nights per month.
• Prior floorplan auditing or related experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Verify in-stock inventory by inspecting VIN/serial numbers, often outdoors.
• Meet with dealership personnel to confirm the status of missing inventory.
• Review dealer records and documentation for sold, missing, or damaged units.
• Verify MSOs and vehicle titles for accuracy.
• Record inventory status and audit findings using a mobile audit application.
• Document visit details and audit observations for client records.
• Communicate audit results clearly to dealership staff and clients.
• Identify potential risk exposures and discuss findings with client representatives.
