Job summary

NRECA is hiring a Retirement Education Specialist to deliver personalized investment and retirement education to plan participants in defined benefit and defined contribution plans. The role involves on-site and virtual seminars, one-on-one consultations, and written asset allocation guidance.

Based in a field territory (West Coast/CA, OR, WA, AK & HI) with up to 90% travel, you will engage in employer and board-level discussions, serving as the local PIRC presence and expanding access to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must possess professional designation CFP, CEBS, ChFC, CLU, CRPC or RICP within two years or hold Series 6/7/63/65/66 licenses.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, securities, insurance, or pension planning consulting.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential verbal and written investment and retirement education.
• Conduct on-site presentations for groups of 10–100 employees, 1 hour to 1.5 days.
• Respond to requests via phone and email; refer to PIRC services as needed.
• Develop and maintain knowledge base on retirement planning, taxes, Social Security, and estate planning issues.
